The Global Alliance for Genomics and Health is currently looking at reviewing and revising the product approval process used to propose, develop and approve standards. One element of this process is an assessment by both the Security Work Stream and the Regulatory and Ethics Work Stream (REWS). Currently, this includes two separate questionnaires that should be filled in prior to proposal and final approval. We are asking for comments on this suggested alternative process. In short, these separate questionnaires have been merged, some of the questions have been reworded/changed and we have recommended that a meeting be organized between the product developers and members of Security and REWS.
