We are excited to see you next week in person for the GA4GH VRS Hackathon at ISMB. Please see below for instructions to help you prepare for the meeting.
Project Selection Process
To help select projects to focus on during the VRS Hackathon, each project proposal's author will present a 2-minute pitch or presentation on their topic. The group will then finalize and select the list of topics based on interest and participation. We will aim to break into groups of at least four people to work on the selected projects.
To learn more about VRS and to help you prepare for the VRS Hackathon, we invite you to watch the following 18-minute video. In this overview, members of the VRS team will provide an introduction to the current landscape of variation representation, key challenges in this space, and how VRS can help.
To view other logistics such as the meeting location and the VRS Hackathon schedule, visit the homepage of the VRS Hackathon website and scroll down to the bottom half of the page. If you have any questions, reach out toAlex Wagner.
